Deeply Rooted in the Community
All of us at Derry Medical Center are committed to being a presence in the lives of our patients. For almost 50 years we have fostered generations of healthy families in Southern New Hampshire’s communities.
We continue to partner with and support a variety of local and national organizations that enhance the lives of our patients via community activities or health-related research and patient education, including:
High School Medical Scholarship Program:
Every year Derry Medical Center and Londonderry Family Practice award a $1,000 scholarship to four high school seniors who intend to major in medicine or a health-related field. One recipient from each local high school (Pinkerton Academy, Londonderry High School, Windham High School, and Salem High School) is chosen based upon submission of the following information:
- An official high school transcript
- Ranking in the top 25% of his/her class
- An essay that includes future plans in the medical field
- A completed DMC/LFP High School Medical Scholarship Program application Applications are available only in the guidance office of each participating high school)
Applications are due in the spring term of the applicant’s senior year and winners are announced before the end of the school year. See who the 2012 winners are.
